  1. it works well. i can easily average 250 degrees. the only problem is that if you are cooking something that needs a lot of heat for a relatively long time, like softening potatoes to mash, you have to turn the oven every so often to keep it in direct sunlight. it's nice though not to have to heat up a southern summer kitchen.
